That gap is what the 615BR was built to close.

Bar Crusher's Peter Cleveland describes the boat partly through his own family — his wife and daughter, who aren't especially interested in fishing but will happily come out with a magazine or a book, kick back, and relax. That's a deliberate design target: a boat that works just as well for the non-angler on board as it does for the person who wants to be casting lures.

The 615BR is described as Bar Crusher's first genuine crossover model — a boat built to do both jobs well, rather than compromise toward one. No Compromise on the Fishing Side
Despite the family-first framing, the boat wasn't allowed to compromise on fishing capability. It carries all the standard Bar Crusher engineering: the Waveslicer hull, Quickflow water ballast system, and Rigideck sub-floor construction, along with a tread plate floor for low-maintenance cleaning, tackle drawers, and an overhead rod rack with shade. The forward lounge doubles as a casting platform, so the same space that's comfortable for relaxing converts directly into fishing space when needed.
Family-Focused Details
At the back, a swim platform with a ladder makes it easy to swim off the boat or climb back aboard from the trailer. The Gen2 hull design incorporates Bar Crusher's Delta Flare feature — a planing plank that helps the boat get up and out of the hull quicker while reducing spray. Options include an anchor winch, floor matting, and a deck wash in the side pocket.

Like the rest of the range, the 615BR ships with Bar Crusher's stainless steel Bar Catch trailer system for single-handed launch and retrieve, on a trailer engineered specifically to match the hull — designed to sit stable behind the car at highway speeds as much as it's designed to load easily at the ramp.
