A Baitboard on Every Bar Crusher
A good baitboard matters more than you might think, because it’s where the day’s fishing gets prepped. Every Bar Crusher comes with one as standard, and depending on the model there are two configurations.
The Interchangeable Baitboard and Skipole
On compact models like the 535C and 615BR Bowrider, the standard setup is a pole-mounted baitboard with built-in rod holders, an insert, a drain and cupholders. It’s a simple, versatile option that covers most fishing. The baitboard lifts out and can be swapped for a skipole when it’s time to take the family out for watersports instead of fishing. That makes these boats properly dual-purpose rather than fishing-only.
The Deluxe, Fixed Baitboard
On larger models like the 670HT and the Raider Special Edition series, the baitboard steps up to a bigger, permanently fixed unit. It has fully welded rod holders, generous cupholders and, a standout detail, tackle tray drawers built into the unit. The drawers are sized for tackle boxes, pliers, cutters, knives and whatever else a serious day of fishing needs, so gear stays organised and within reach instead of scattered around the cockpit.
The prep surface is versatile too. Beyond cutting bait and rigging tackle, it has room for a portable gas cooker for lunch or dinner on the water.
Easy to Keep Clean
One of the most practical touches is the cutting board insert, which slides straight out for cleaning. Once it’s clean, you can flip it over and slide it back in. It’s a small detail, but it makes a real difference after a day of bait and fish going across it.
