20-second Boat Retrieval | Videos | Bar Crusher Boats

Only with Bar Crusher!

Watch how easy it is to get a Bar Crusher on the trailer! Every Bar Crusher boat is factory-packaged on a custom-designed trailer, which ensures towing, launching and retrieving is a breeze – from the smallest boat to the largest, it’s the same story with every model. Self-centering and aligning perfectly every time, Bar Crusher’s innovative Bar Catch® system also allows for single-handed launch and retrieve. Low-stress boating at its very best!

Proof, Not Just a Promise

Some claims are easier to show than to explain, and this clip does exactly that: a Bar Crusher comes off its trailer in 20 seconds flat, with one person doing all the work. It’s a direct, visual demonstration of what Bar Crusher’s Bar Catch launch and retrieve system is designed to deliver: easy single-handed launching and retrieving.

Why It’s Fast: The Trailer and the Catch Work Together

Bar Catch is a stainless steel device on the trailer that pivots to engage the hook on the boat’s bow. It works with the trailer’s guide bars and keel rollers, which centre the boat as you drive on. There’s no fiddling to line the boat up, no bulky attachment on the bow, and no springs to bind or rust over time. Drive on, let Bar Catch engage, attach the safety chain and winch strap, and the boat’s secured. Launching is just as quick: set the catch to launch, release the winch, and drive off.

How fast it goes on the day depends on the ramp and conditions, and getting your trailer depth right makes the biggest difference.

Built for One Person, Not Two

Beyond speed, the bigger practical win is single-handed operation. You can drive on and off the trailer without someone standing by to guide the boat or hook it up. If you fish solo, or you’d rather not coordinate a second pair of hands every time you launch or retrieve, that’s a real quality-of-life upgrade over a standard trailer.

Standard, Not an Upgrade

Bar Catch is factory-fitted to every Bar Crusher, from compact boats like the 535C to the flagship 780HTP. It isn’t an option reserved for higher-end models. Whichever Bar Crusher you choose, it’s one advantage you don’t pay extra for or go without. Own an early-model Bar Crusher without it? Talk to your local dealer about fitting one.
