It has now been over a year since I took delivery of a 560C fitted with a Suzuki 140 hp 4 stroke. Wow! What a set up for fishing!

 

Having not had a boat for about 30 years I have found this combination of boat, motor and trailer to be a breeze to use. Launching and retrieving is easy with the drive off, drive on training we received on delivery as well as the most helpful DVD supplied. My wife and I launch the BC at Ocean Grove, Queenscliff and Corio Bay and feel completely comfortable with the craft in the sea conditions we have experienced since we took delivery. For example we have launched on occasions in 25 - 30 knot winds and the 560C has comfortably navigated the short, sharp PPB chop at around 20 knots on the way to sheltered waters for fishing.

 

We are particularly pleased with the forethought in design to make this boat a great fishing platform with the layout of rod holders, live bait tank, and bait-board and well as being fun for just cruising.

 

When at home, the other pleasing design features are the fold-down hardtop for storage under the carport and the easy access to the boat via the very solid boarding ladder on the stern and the transom door (for the not so nimble - me).

 

What is also interesting out on the water is the friendly interaction with other Bar Crusher owners. Always waving and willing to share notes about their experiences with their Bar Crusher. We have now named our BC "Barr-girl" (on account of my wife's maiden name being Barr) and look forward to more fun times on the water.
