Rayment Bruce
Hi Peter,

Pic of my boat at its Sydney home and a pic on the way out to Browns Mountain early one morning.

I bought my Bar Crusher 560c in Melbourne and originally fished on Port Phillip Bay with it. I have subsequently moved home to Sydney and the boat is as much at home on the rivers and Tasman Sea around the NSW Coast as it as on Port Phillip Bay.

The guys at Bar Crusher really know about boats. What impressed me when I first looked at a Bar Crusher was how much the manufacturers knew about what fisherman wanted in their boats and how they had designed and refined the boat to fit these needs.

It's the little design ideas that separate the Bar Crusher from the competitors - the tilting hardtop, the ladder, the walkthrough transom, the bait table come ski pole, the folding rear seat.

The vast majority of Bar Crusher owners become evangelists for the boat after buying one due to the outstanding performance of the boat - the ride, the design, the toughness and the trailer.

I love my Bar Crusher, compared to what I previously owned; the Bar Crusher is tough and solid. I feel safe in any sea condition that it will get me home. The ride is as good as they say - I think it is the softest riding aluminium boat available today.

The hull rides softly and compared to the pressed alloy boat that I had, it is a pleasure to drive in rough conditions.

Due to the large fuel tank, I have been able to fish from 'port to port' in my boat from Sussex Inlet to Jervis Bay and return and Port Hacking to Sydney Harbour and return.

Due to its ride and toughness the boat has opened up new fishing grounds to me - Browns Mountain off Sydney and the Stanwell Park hump were too great a distance to travel with the 'pounding' ride of my old boat. In the Bar Crusher these journeys of over 25 nm are easy and pleasurable.

Apart from being a great fishing boat, the Bar Crusher 560c is also a great family boat. The big wake is great for wakeboarding and the bait board is the perfect size for a gas barbecue. With the cabin infill cushions, my young family sleeps in the cabin on Sydney Harbour for the fireworks or during a day on Port Hacking.

The Easytow trailer supplied with most Bar Crusher boats makes launch and retrieval easy. It is a true drive on, drive off trailer. Whilst driving on and off is common in the cooler waters of the southern states, I still surprise many people at Sydney boat ramps when I just drive straight up onto the trailer with no concerns about whether I will be straight and square on the trailer.

The best thing about my Bar Crusher is that after a long, hard day on the water, the boat is easy to clean when I get home. I just flush the motor, hose it inside and out and it is ready for another day.

I ultimately bought a Bar Crusher because it is good value, tough and soft riding. End of story.

Regards,

Bruce Rayment
